Today (14 February 2018), FOR Cardiff have launched their brand new city-wide radio service as part of their bid to reduce business crime and make the capital a safer place.
CityNet gives businesses access to a state of the art communications system, linking them to other organisations across Cardiff as well as CCTV channels, Police and Street Ambassadors.
Announced at the launch of Cardiff Business Against Crime (CABC), the radio network aims to give organisations a safe space to communicate with each other, promote safety and security through a maintained channel.
Joining CityNet is free of charge until July 31st 2018, then less than £200 for the following six months, offering a cost-effective solution for businesses, particularly those involved in the night time economy who will also receive a free earpiece.
CABC aims to ensure the safety and security of businesses and visitors to the city, as well as reducing anti-social behaviour. The programme involves partnership working with organisations including South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Cardiff Council, led by the recently appointed Business Crime Manager, Ian Tumelty.
