FOR Cardiff’s City Ambition Fund has re-opened for applications with a pot of up to £50,000 available to be distributed to support city centre projects.
The fund exists to support projects that contribute to FOR Cardiff’s overall aims for the city whether that’s supporting the transition to a greener economy, activating public spaces through arts and culture, driving the city toward a more equitable and diverse future, promoting Cardiff as a tourist destination, or anything else featured in the 2021-2026 business plan.
Jack Skivens was one of the recipients of the first round of funding to deliver the Night of the Animal Wall trail in the city over October half term. Jack said,
‘The experience was amazing, it allowed me to fulfil a dream and engage with the city.’

Equal opportunities data from our previous funding round has shown that people from black, Asian, and minority ethnic backgrounds are less likely to make an application to the fund.
20% of the £50k of funding is specifically ring fenced and available for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background individuals and their communities.
