Family Theatre with Taking Flight

At Taking Flight we make bold, unusual theatre productions with Deaf, disabled and non-disabled performers. Our work tours Wales and beyond and we often find ourselves in out of the way places,  as traditional theatre venues

Dragon Taming (for beginners!):

Our arts-based workshops for children ignite conversations about mental wellbeing and introduce mindfulness techniques through play. These workshops explore practical ideas to combat anxiety in a fun and accessible way for all the family. Join the Head of Dragon taming, assistant Dragon tamer and our BSL interpreters for a fun and creative age appropriate lesson in making friends with your inner dragons! Dragon Taming (for beginners) workshop can be based in any accessible
indoor space. All pieces/ workshops feature fully inclusive casts of Deaf, disabled, and non-disabled performers. Placing positive role models centre stage because representation matters.

First Three Drops:

A static piece of theatre lasting 40mins with shape-shifting sorcery and silliness galore, First Three Drops is a magical story adventure, in English, British Sign Language and Sign Supported English with integrated audio description. Based on the legend of Taliesin by Elis Gruffydd.
