Celebrating 25 years of Pride in Wales

Pride Hapus!

This year FOR Cardiff are proud sponsors of Pride Cymru 2024, an extra special celebration marking 25 years of Pride in Wales. We’re so excited to celebrate with you all!

Keep reading to find out what you can expect from the weekend’s festivities.

The Parade

This year’s parade will start at 11am on Westgate Street and will run throughout the city centre, finishing on Greyfriars Road.

FOR Cardiff are joining the parade this year, keep an eye out for us!

Balloon Arches

Looking for a great selfie spot? We are installing Pride balloon arches in St John’s Gardens opposite Cardiff Market this Saturday.

If you’re in the parade or attending the festival stop by for a photo moment.

What’s On

The Queer Emporium 

  • Kick off the weekend with a slice of Ginny Lemon. Transition at The Queer Emporium starts at 7.30pm on Friday. Get tickets here.
  • Celebrate Butchness with BWTCH at The Queer Emporium from 7.30pm on Saturday. Get tickets here.

Cardiff Castle

The main event! The Pride festival line up covers 2 stages over 2 days of jam-packed performances from a mix of big names and local talent. Check out the main stage line up & find out more here.

The Botanist

Celebrate with a cocktail at The Botanist’s Pride Terrace Party.

Do you have the FOR Cardiff Card? You can get a range of discounts at The Botanist Cardiff, including 20% off food and a glass of prosecco for £7. Login to our website or The Card app for details.

The Golden Cross

Enjoy FREE entry and standard drinks prices at The Golden Cross all weekend.

St David’s Dewi Sant

Visit St David’s and write a message of support on their Tree of Pride as a symbol of love and hope.

Pulse, Kings & The Dock Feeder

Celebrate with The Big Parade After Party at Pulse, 4pm to 6am. Party hard with Nicki’s Pridefest at The Kings, 4pm to 6am, and enjoy FREE entry at The Dock Feeder, 4pm to 4am.

If you’re feeling unsafe at any point during the Pride celebrations, Safe Places is here to help.

Safe Places is a citywide network of over 90 businesses where anyone can take refuge. Whether you need to use a Safe Place to have a conversation, call a friend, ask someone to call a cab, or even dial 999 – they are places where a friendly face is guaranteed, and support will always be provided.
