FOR Cardiff are pleased to extend our congratulations to Eluned Morgan on her appointment as the First Minister of Wales. We are especially pleased to congratulate Eluned on being the first woman to take on this important role and collectively we look forward to a time when these things will no longer need to attract comment.
It is an important time in politics and Cardiff city centre, and urban areas across Wales, face a variety of challenges which the Welsh Government must address to deliver the Wales envisaged by the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act. We continue to urge the Welsh Government to act decisively on business rates reform in the long term and business rates relief in the short to medium term.
A strong, sustainable, and exciting future is possible for Cardiff city centre and we hope to see the new Welsh Government prioritise local economic development and vibrant urban centres.
