What’s On in Cardiff this Easter Half-Term

Looking for egg-citing, family-friendly, activities in Cardiff this Easter? From a thrilling dinosaur trail to Easter egg hunts and workshops, there’s plenty of ways to keep the whole family entertained throughout the school holidays.

The Dino Discovery Trail at St David’s Cardiff

This Easter St David’s Cardiff will be home to a free dinosaur model trail! Between Monday 14th – Sunday 27th April (excluding Easter Sunday), you can discover impressive dinosaurs, from a two-metre-tall Diplodocus, to a mighty T-rex – measuring five metres in length from nose to tail! Young explorers can collect a free trail map and dinosaur hat from St David’s Guest Services (located on the upper level of Grand Arcade, next to Stradivarius) and go on a hunt to find all eight dinosaurs, learning fun facts along the way. Completed maps can be returned to Guest Services for a free sticker and sweet treat. St David’s are also giving guests the chance to win some incredible LEGO dinosaur prizes. The Morgan Quarter Easter Eggstravaganza

The Morgan Quarter is hosting a free Easter Egg Trail between Wednesday 16th- Saturday 19th April. Collect a trail map from Pen & Paper (13-17 Royal Arcade), then explore the historic Morgan and Royal Arcades in search of 10 hidden Easter eggs window stickers. Once you find all 10, hop along to Maple & Bean (28 Morgan Arcade) to collect a chocolate prize. The fun doesn’t stop there! On Saturday 19th April, the Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance, handing out delicious chocolates and offering a free lucky dip of prizes including £20 vouchers for Dino Fossils, Jelly Cat toys from Welcome Things, doughnuts from WhoCult, 10% discounts for Bird & Blend and many more*. Find the Easter Bunny outside the entrance to the Morgan Arcade, on The Hayes from 11am onwards.

LUSH Spa Cardiff Easter Half-Term Workshops

Get hands-on and creative at LUSH Spa Cardiff’s Easter Half Term workshops! For £10 per person, you can create your very own Easter bath product to take home and enjoy Easter themed games and activities. You’ll also receive a goodie bag with some egg-cellent surprises! Suitable for all ages, workshops will take place on weekdays from 10am-3pm between 14th – 25th April. Click here to book .

Easter Fun at Treetop Golf Cardiff

From Easter egg hunts to free face painting, Treetop Golf is jam-packed with egg-citing activities this Easter. Between Monday 14th – Sunday 27th April, young eggslorers are invited to find Easter eggs hidden around the 18 hole Jungle themed mini golf course. You also have a chance to win a £250 Treetop Golf gift voucher by snapping a picture of your Easter Trail booklet or Easter sticker on their photobooth! What’s more – there will be free face painting between 12pm-3pm on Thursday 17th – Wednesday 23rd April.

A Mammoth Easter at National Museum Cardiff

Visit National Museum Cardiff to view a fully reconstructed woolly mammoth and go on an adventure to find brightly coloured Easter eggs, solving riddles and uncovering clues. Measuring three metres tall and five metres long, the Museums’ new resident is a 3D printed replica of mammoth bones found in Shropshire that were estimated to be over 14,000 years old! The Museum is free to visit and tickets for the Easter Trail (12th -21st April) can be purchased for £4 via the National Museum website Trail maps can be collected at the Museum entrance and every egg hidden across the Museum will have a unique and colourful pattern for little ones to copy onto their trail sheet. Completed trail maps can be exchanged for a chocolate lollipop. Dairy-free & vegan alternatives are available on request, please select this preference at the time of booking.

Sylvian Families Treasure Hunt at John Lewis & Partners Cardiff

An Easter treasure hunt with a difference! John Lewis & Partners Cardiff are running a free Sylvanian Families treasure hunt in-store between 7th– 21st April. Every child that finds all six Sylvanian Families posters hidden around the store will receive a Sylvanian Families Baking Baby Party Series blind bag*. (*Whilst stocks last.) Start the trail at Customer Support on Floor 1 or ask a team member for details.

Kids Eat Free: Easter 2025

All that activity is sure to work up an appetite and this Easter many restaurants in Cardiff are running kids eat free offers including:

  • TGI Fridays: A free kids meal with every adult’s main. Available to new and exciting Stipes Rewards members. T’s&C’s apply.
  • Frankie & Benny’s: One free Kids meal with the purchase of an adult main. a delicious main, side, drink, plus a yummy dessert. Offer valid until 27th April. T’s&C’s apply.
  • Bill’s: up to two kids can eat free all day from Monday 7th – Friday 25th April (excluding Saturday & Sunday), when one adult orders any main dish (breakfast, lunch, or dinner). T’s&C’s apply.
