FOR Cardiff Public Affairs Call Out

FOR Cardiff (Cardiff’s Business Improvement District, BID) is an independent, business-led, not-for-profit initiative voted for by the businesses of Cardiff for a second five year term in July 2021 ensuring continued investment in Cardiff city centre. The second term runs from 1st December 2021 to 30th November 2026. The full FOR Cardiff business plan is available to view here.

As a BID FOR Cardiff has a record of being industry leading in the policy space and was the first BID to produce a national level ‘manifesto’ in advance of an election. The company has recently gone through an internal restructure and wishes to further capitalise on this position. The board has identified a range of a strategic objectives including:

  • Be a leading -edge BID, standing out from our contemporaries on a national level.
  • Use our status as a capital city BID to gain advantage and profile in a regional and
    national context.
  • Advocate on behalf of the business community ensuring their views are heard.
  • Improve the Cardiff of the future by presenting bold ideas and leading conversations
with the existing community and potential investors.

To support these ambitions and grow the scope of its influence FOR Cardiff requires a public affairs consultancy or similar to assist the company on a retained basis to keep abreast of political developments across Wales and the UK, and to have access to information and intelligence on crucial policymakers and political stakeholders as well as to secure coverage for work on relevant policy areas.

FOR Cardiff invites proposals from relevant suppliers to be submitted to Emily Cotterill, Associate Director via emily@forcardiff.com by 5pm on Wednesday 31st July.
