Location: Cardiff city centre with option to work from home 2 days a week after a successful probation period (6 months).
Salary: £36,400 plus a bonus of up to 4% of salary related to performance against set KPIs and company values
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Contract to November 2026 with funding extension likely)
Hours: 37.5 hours a week. On occasion, you may be asked to work outside of our core working hours. This will be communicated in advance.

FOR Cardiff is a Business Improvement District (BID) dedicated to making Cardiff a vibrant, safe, and prosperous city for businesses, residents, and visitors. Through innovative projects and strategic partnerships, we enhance the city’s public spaces and deliver tangible improvements that make a real difference.
As our Place Management Manager, you’ll lead on ensuring Cardiff’s public spaces are well-maintained, attractive, and accessible. Working closely with key stakeholders, local authorities, and businesses, you’ll oversee street cleaning, safety initiatives, public realm enhancements, and operational projects.
✔️ Operations & Maintenance: Manage and coordinate city-centre cleaning and maintenance initiatives to improve Cardiff’s streetscape.
✔️ Safety & Security: Work with local authorities, police, and partners to enhance public safety and reduce anti-social behavior.
✔️ Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with businesses, councils, and service providers to deliver impactful projects.
✔️ Public Realm Enhancements: Oversee improvements such as street furniture, lighting, and wayfinding to create a more welcoming environment.
✔️ Sustainability & Innovation: Identify opportunities to implement sustainable and forward-thinking urban solutions.
✅ Experience in facilities management, public realm operations, or urban regeneration.
✅ Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
✅ Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
✅ A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for improving city environments.
✅ Experience in delivery crime or safety focused projects.
✅ A creative thinker with demonstrable experience of bringing forward innovative solutions to challenges.
