Last week’s decisive general election result offers the chance of certainty and stability to businesses across Cardiff city centre. The result also brings the vital opportunity for increased collaboration between the UK and Welsh governments on shared policy commitments such as business rates reform. It is incredibly important that these opportunities are seized and acted on right away for the benefit of Wales’ economy and our town and city centres.
New constituency boundaries also mean that Stephen Doughty MP is now the representative for much more of the BID area and we look forward to working with him to promote, support, and strengthen Wales’ economic engine. Congratulations to Jo Stevens MP, the BID area’s other representative in parliament, on her appointment to the role of Secretary of State for Wales.
